There are less than 3 cases left of this popular white Rhone Wine. Viognier is native to the northern Rhone Valley of France best known for its Syrah. Of course, our Viognier is produced from grapes grown here in Santa Barbara County.

A classic version of this top northern Rhone white variety. Soft and smooth with stone fruit flavors and just enough acidity to make it fresh.
Nancy says:
The Arthur Earl Viognier is just how good Viognier can be. I like to take it out of the refrigerator for 10 minutes or so, just to take the cold edge off. It’s viscosity is amazing… you can just see how soft and creamy it is! Viognier is fragrant and has lots of aromas and flavors…for me it’s peaches. It is full and rich with a somewhat exotic character.
It’s perfect for this time of year. The dry finish compliments the stone fruit characteristic of the grape. Viognier is delicious with main courses as well as salads. I have to admit one of my favorite pairings with Viognier is a salad with mixed greens, candied walnuts, goat cheese and, of course, fresh fruit. Also, I would never have thought of watermelon in a salad but, I am serious, it is delicious. Just combine baby arugula, cubes of seedless watermelon, crumbled feta cheese and a balsamic vinegar glaze which is easy to make by reducing balsamic vinegar. Served with Viognier it is a perfect light lunch or appetizer.

Library wines are older vintages of our wines that have been held in the winery for observation, testing and quality control. The wines can be from 6 t0 14 years old and have aged in the bottle while stored. Not everyone enjoys drinking wines this old. Generally as wines age they lose some of their fruit and color, develop a reddish brown tinge and have stronger flavors. We offer these wines only to our wine club members who would like to try these older vintages.
These library wines have a retail price of $55.00 which equals $44.00 or $41.25, after your wine club discount. Because there is a very limited supply of these wines, we limit the amount that can be purchased at one time.
